We share with you the “Vegetable Sanctuary” project that Eve Pietruschi, one of PAN community’s artist, is carrying out at her home in Nice, France, during the quarantine. The artist started with the elements at hand: books, photos, internet material. The projet is in the beginning. This period is not favorable to contact the natural history museum, the botanical gardens, etc. That will be pending for a second stage.
“I want to work in a plant sanctuary for endangered and endemic species in the PACA* region. The plastic form; drawing, photography, imprinting on raw or monotype clay (from withered leaves or flowers collected from the ground) will depend on the source and nature of the plant elements: botanical drawings, photographs of plants, seeds, live plants , herbal.

This interest in botanical world has been omnipresent in my practice since 2007. Its evolution, my proximity to nature and my practice of drawing make observation at the heart of plastic work and reflection. This project is based on research and observation. Perhaps it can take shape at the heart of an installation, made up of various sources, media, such as herbaria, drawings, monotypes, an edition, photographs, writings, stories …
